Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for IOCL Recruitment 2026 must fulfill the prescribed post-wise educational qualifications as mentioned in the official notification.

Trade Apprentice – Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) (Code 101): 3 years B.Sc degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Industrial Chemistry as subjects from a recognized University with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Trade Apprentice – Fitter (Code 102): Matriculation (Class X) with ITI in Fitter Trade of minimum 2 years duration recognized by NCVET/SCVT with pass class.
Technician Apprentice – Chemical (Code 104): 3 years Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Petrochemical Engineering / Chemical Technology / Refinery & Petrochemical Engineering from a recognized Institute with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Technician Apprentice – Mechanical (Code 105): 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institute with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Technician Apprentice – Electrical (Code 106): 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized Institute with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Technician Apprentice – Instrumentation (Code 107): 3 years Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering / Instrumentation & Electronics / Instrumentation & Control Engineering / Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from a recognized Institute with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Fresher) (Code 110): Class XII pass from a recognized Board. Fresher apprentice means a non-graduate apprentice who has not undergone institutional skill training before apprenticeship.
Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holder) (Code 111): Class XII pass with Skill Certificate in ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ issued by an awarding body recognized under National Skill Qualifications Framework (NSQF) or authority recognized by Central Government.

Qualification must be completed as on 31 January 2026. Part-time, correspondence or distance education qualifications are not eligible under IOCL Recruitment 2026.

Age Limit

The age criteria for IOCL Recruitment 2026 is calculated as on 31 January 2026.

Minimum Age Limit: 18 years
Maximum Age Limit: 24 years
Age relaxation applicable for SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / PwBD as per Govt guidelines.

Application Fee

Step I – Registration & Application on NAPS/NATS:
• Post Codes 101, 102, 110 & 111: Register on NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in).
• Post Codes 104, 105, 106 & 107: Register on NATS portal (nats.education.gov.in).
• Apply against Paradip Refinery using Establishment ID (NATS: EORJSC000003 / NAPS: E07192100001).
Step II – Microsoft Form Submission (Mandatory): After applying on NAPS/NATS, candidates must submit additional details in the Microsoft Form link provided in the notification. Completion of both steps is compulsory.
Important: Only one trade can be selected. Incomplete or incorrect applications will be rejected.
