ICAR NRRI Recruitment 2026 notification has been released by the ICAR – National Rice Research Institute (NRRI), Cuttack for recruitment of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) & Young Professional-II (YP-II). This ICAR NRRI Recruitment 2026 is a purely temporary, project-based engagement and will be filled through walk-in interview.

Under the ICAR NRRI Recruitment 2026 notification, one Senior Research Fellow (SRF) & one Young Professional-II (YP-II) position is available under a project.

Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for ICAR NRRI Recruitment 2026 for the above vacancies must fulfil the following eligibility conditions.

Senior Research Fellow (SRF): Master’s Degree in Remote Sensing and GIS / Geoinformatics / any discipline of Agriculture / Computer Science with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s Degree, or M.Tech. in Computer Application / Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Science & Engineering / Software Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Information Technology from a recognized university with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s Degree. OR Post-graduate Degree in Environmental Science / Geography with 3 years Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years Master’s Degree should have NET qualifications and 2 years of research experience. OR B.Sc. (Ag.) having four years Graduation Degree followed by M.Sc. in any discipline. OR Ph.D. in any discipline of Science.
Young Professional-II (YP-II): Master’s Degree in Remote Sensing and GIS / Geoinformatics / Environmental Science / Geography / any discipline of Agriculture. OR M.Tech. in Computer Application / Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Science & Engineering / Software Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Information Technology from a recognized university.

Age Limit

The age limit for ICAR NRRI Recruitment 2026 is calculated as on the date of interview.

For Senior Research Fellow (SRF) Vacancy: 35 Years for Men & 40 Years for Women
For Young Professional-II (YP-II) Vacancy: 21 – 45 Years
Age relaxation applicable as per the Government rules.
