Educational Qualification

For NVS KVS Recruitment 2025, the educational requirements vary depending on the position.

• Assistant Commissioner (Academics) in NVS: Requires a Master’s Degree (at least 50% marks), a B.Ed. from an NCTE Recognized Institute / University, and 03 years of service working as Principal in Pay Level 12 (Rs.78800-209200) in Central / State / Autonomous Organizations.
• Assistant Commissioner in KVS: Requires a Master’s Degree (at least 50% marks), a B.Ed. (at least 50% marks) OR Three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. (at least 50% marks), 03 years of service working as Principal in Pay Level 12 (Rs.78800 to Rs.209200), Knowledge of computer applications, and Working knowledge of Hindi and English.
• Principal (KVS & NVS): Requires a Master’s Degree (at least 50% marks), a Bachelor degree in Education (B.Ed.) (at least 50% marks) OR equivalent integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. / Four years Integrated Degree (at least 50% marks, including B.Ed. component), mandatory experience (e.g., 03 years as Principal in Pay Level-12 OR 12 years regular service as PGT / Lecturer in Pay Level-8), Knowledge of Computer Applications, and Working knowledge of Hindi and English.
• Vice-Principal in KVS: Requires a Master Degree (at least 50% marks), a Bachelor Degree in Education (B.Ed.) (at least 50% marks) OR integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. / Four years Integrated degree (at least 50% marks), proven experience working as Vice Principal in Pay Level 10 OR as a PGT or Lecturer in Pay Level 8 for at least 06 years, plus Knowledge of Computer Applications and Working knowledge of Hindi and English.
• Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) (General Subjects—e.g., English, Hindi, Physics, Commerce): Requires an Integrated Post Graduate Course (at least 50% marks, including B.Ed.) OR Master Degree (at least 50% marks) in the concerned subject (generally required at Graduation level too, with specific exclusions for Commerce), AND a subsequent B.Ed. Degree OR equivalent integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. / Four years Integrated Degree (all with at least 50% marks), with Proficiency to Teach in Hindi and English medium.
• PGT (Computer Science) (KVS & NVS): Requires an M.Sc. (Computer Science/IT) / MCA OR M.E. or M. Tech. (Computer Science/IT) (all with at least 50% marks), AND a B.Ed. Degree OR equivalent integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed./Four years integrated degree (all with at least 50% marks).
• PGT (Physical Education) in NVS: Requires a Master in Physical Education (M. P.Ed.) Degree from an NCTE recognized Institution/University with at least 50% marks.
• PGT (Modern Indian Language) in NVS: Requires an Integrated Post Graduate course (at least 50% marks, including B.Ed. component) OR Master Degree in the concerned Modern Indian Language (at least 50% marks) AND a B.Ed. Degree OR equivalent integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. / Four years integrated degree (all with at least 50% marks).
• Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) (Hindi, English, Sanskrit, 3rd Language): Requires a Four years integrated degree course (at least 50% marks, including B.Ed. component) OR Bachelor/Honours Degree (at least 50% marks in concerned subject/aggregate, studied for minimum 3 years/6 semesters) AND B.Ed. Degree OR integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. / One year B.Ed. (Special Education) (RCI recognized) (all with at least 50% marks) OR specified Post-Graduation (55% marks) with B.Ed.-M.Ed. integrated course (50% marks); all candidates must be Qualified in the CTET (Paper-II) and have Competency to teach through English and Hindi Medium.
• Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) (Maths, Science, Social Studies): Requires a Four years integrated degree course (at least 50% marks, including B.Ed. component) OR Bachelors / Honours Degree (at least 50% marks in concerned subject / combination / aggregate, with mandatory subject combinations specific to the post) AND B.Ed. Degree OR integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. / One year B.Ed. (Special Education) (RCI recognized) (all with at least 50% marks) OR specified Post-Graduation (55% marks) with B.Ed.-M.Ed. integrated course (50% marks); all candidates must be Qualified in the CTET (Paper-II) and have Competence to teach through English and Hindi Languages.
• TGT (Computer Science): Requires a BCA OR Graduation in Computer Science/IT (studied as main subject in all years) OR BE/B.Tech. (Computer Science/IT) (all with at least 50% marks), must be Qualified in CTET (Paper-II), and possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education OR integrated B.Ed. – M.Ed./Four years integrated degree (all with at least 50% marks).
• TGT (Music) in NVS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Music/Performing Arts (at least 50% marks, with music studied in all years of degree as main subject) AND a Bachelor’s degree in Education (at least 50% marks).
• TGT (Art Education) in KVS / TGT (Art) in NVS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Drawing and Painting/Sculpture/Graphic Art/Fine Arts (at least 50% marks, with Drawing and Painting studied as main subject in all years of graduation) AND a B. Ed. degree (at least 50% marks).
• TGT (Physical Education) in NVS: Requires a Four years Integrated B.P.Ed. Course (at least 50% marks) OR Bachelor’s degree in Physical Science / Physical Education / Physical Education and Sports (at least 50% marks, studied in all years) along with B. P. Ed. (at least 50% marks) OR Bachelor’s degree with Physical Education as an elective subject (50% marks) + B. P. Ed. (50% marks) + participation in National / State / Inter-University competitions.
• TGT (P & HE) in KVS: Requires a Four year integrated course / Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education / Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (at least 50% marks) OR Graduation from a recognized university and B.P.Ed. (at least 50% marks separately in Graduation and B.P.Ed.).
• TGT (Work Experience) in KVS: Requires a Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication Engineering (at least 50% marks), a B.Ed. Degree (at least 50% marks), Knowledge of Computer Applications, and Proficiency to teach in Hindi and English medium.
• Librarian (KVS) / TGT (Library) (NVS): Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science OR Bachelor Degree in Library and Information Science (at least 50% marks), Knowledge of Computer Applications, and Working knowledge of Hindi and English.
• Special Educator (TGT): Requires a Graduation Degree (minimum 50% Marks), Any RCI recognized special education qualification (such as B. Ed. (Special Education)), must be Qualified in CTET (Paper – II), must have Registration with Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) with valid CRR number, and have Proficiency to teach in Hindi and English.
• Primary Teachers – Music (PRT-MUSIC) in KVS: Requires Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary / Intermediate (CLASS XII) with 50% marks, a Bachelor Degree in Music / Performing Arts (where music subject is studied in all years of degree as main subject), and Working knowledge of Hindi & English.
• Primary Teacher (PRT) in KVS: Requires Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary / Intermediate (10+2) with at least 50% marks AND a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR 4-year B. El. Ed. OR 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) from RCI, must be Qualified in the CTET (Paper-I), and have Proficiency to teach through Hindi & English medium.
• Special Educator (Primary Teacher) in KVS: Requires XII Passed (minimum 50% marks), possession of Any RCI recognized diploma / course (such as Two-year D.Ed. Special Education or equivalent qualification), must be Qualified in CTET (Paper – 1), must have Registration with Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) with valid CRR number, and have Proficiency to teach in Hindi and English.
• Administrative Officer in KVS: Requires a Graduate degree and Three years’ regular service as Section Officer at least in Pay Level 7 (Rs. 44900 to 142400) in Central Govt. / Autonomous Bodies, along with Knowledge of Computer application.
• Finance Officer in KVS: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (50% marks) OR Master’s Degree in Commerce (50% marks) OR Bachelor’s Degree with CA (Inter) or ICWA (Inter) or MBA (Finance) or PGDM (Finance) (02 years full time), along with at least 04 years post-qualification experience in Audit and Accounts works in Pay Level – 6 or equivalent, plus Knowledge of Computer Applications and Working knowledge of Hindi and English.
• Assistant Engineer in KVS: Requires a Graduate in Civil / Electrical Engineering and 2 year experience in design and engineering in the concerned branch from a Govt. Deptt. / Organization / Institute.
• Assistant Section Officer in KVS: Requires a Bachelor degree, working as UDC / SSA or equivalent on regular basis for minimum 3 years in Level 4 (Rs.25500- Rs.81100/) in Central Govt. / Autonomous Bodies, Knowledge of Computer Applications, and Working knowledge of Hindi and English.
• Junior Translator in KVS: Requires a Master’s degree (in Hindi / English / or any other subject) with specified combinations of Hindi and English at the degree or Master’s level, AND a Recognized Diploma or Certificate course in translation (Hindi to English & vice-versa) OR Two years’ experience of translation work.
• Senior Secretariat Assistant in KVS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, working as JSA / LDC or equivalent on regular basis for minimum 3 years in Level 2 (Rs.19900-63200/-), Knowledge of Computer Applications, and Working knowledge of Hindi and English.
• Stenographer Grade – I in KVS: Requires a Graduate degree, Shorthand Speed of 100 w.p.m. (English / Hindi) and Typing Speed of 45 w.p.m. (English / Hindi), 05 years regular service as Stenographer Gr II in Pay Level 4, Knowledge of Computer Applications, and Working knowledge of Hindi and English.
• Stenographer Grade – II in KVS: Requires a Graduate degree, qualifying Skill test Norms (Dictation: 10 mins @ 80 w.p.m; Transcription: 50 mins English / 65 mins Hindi on computer), Knowledge of working on Computer, and Proficiency in Hindi and English.
• Junior Secretariat Assistant in KVS: Requires Class XII pass or equivalent and a typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on computer.
• Junior Secretariat Assistant in NVS: Requires Class XII pass AND possessing minimum typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi on computer OR Passed + 2 Level of Senior Secondary with Secretarial Practices and Office management as Vocational subject.
• Lab Attendant in NVS: Requires 10th Class pass with a certificate / Diploma in Laboratory Technique OR 12th Class with Science stream.
• Multi Tasking Staff (HQ/RO Cadre) in NVS: Requires Class X from a recognized board.
